I need some advice :S

NEWS

So yeah, I'm flying for the first time EVER on Thursday. I'm going out to California for my uncle's wedding. I'm so terrified that I literally start shaking. Sounds pathetic, but I have an extreme fear of planes. It's not quite a phobia, since it doesn't interfere with my normal daily life, but it's pretty damn close. I'm literally afraid of the plane, I mean the flying part is scary and I have a fear of heights, so that doesn't help either, but the plane scares me. I can't really explain why... it's just uncomfortable to me. I'm being put on sedatives to keep me calm, and I want to try and sleep the whole 4 hours, but does anyone have any other tips for the plane ride? I mean, just in case say I can't sleep or the pills are not strong enough or something... I dunno.
